I’ve been making music for quite some time now… I just wanted to share some of the things I’ve learned a long the way. In a way these are tips that can be useful for anybody doing something creative!
Live performance of Window Seat by Erykah Badu. Such an amazing singer, performer and songwriter! And boy, does she have style. She also rocked a campaign for Givenchy last year.
Lorde is an outspoken 17 year old singer, that plays by her own rules. She declined opening for Katy Perry to only play her own headline gigs, and definitely makes her own, bold fashion choices. Gothic vibes, dark lips, crop tops, pink power pantsuits, she rocks them all.
Lorde, on stage style: “A lot of long dresses, and I also have this obsession with disgustingly chunky sneakers and shoes. That’s what stagewear is about for me—I’ve got to feel strong and feel like I can command attention.”
She describes her own style as ” Kind of girly, but you know, quite grungy as well. Like I probably wear a beanie everyday of my life and I used to have my lip pierced. I used to be obsessed with Pearl Jam, but I love having pink hair and kind of looking like a Barbie” Well, her stage outfits are sexy, her red carpet looks are stunning and her streetstyle looks are tomboyish. I LOVE it. Her music too by the way :-)
YES! Mac is working on a collection in collaboration with singer Lorde. She loves wearing a dark plum lipstick and had some rocking dark nails (and fingertips) at the Grammy’s this year. I can’t wait for this collection. No details yet on the products, but Mac did release this promising face chart.Lorde : “I have loved MAC Cosmetics since I was a little kid. I remember saving up to buy my very first MAC lipstick [Snob] at 14, and it was used by about 20 of my friends!” Lorde said in a statement. “MAC has a very clear aesthetic that has always felt fashion forward to me. So I was really excited to work with them on these products, which I use pretty much every day and night. I hope you will, too.”
