The Grammy’s, The Superbowl and now the Oscars. Lady Gaga once again delivered an amazing performance last night at the 88th Annual Academy Awards. She performed the song “Til It Happens To You.” The song was nominated for an Oscar, co-written by Diane Warren and featured in the documentary “The Hunting Ground”, a film about sexual assaults that occur on college campuses. What powerful message and what an amazing singer and performer. A shame she didn’t win the Oscar for best song though! That award went to “Writing’s on the wall’ by Sam Smith…Have a look at Lady Gaga’s performance at the 88th Annual Academy Awards.
This girl can sing! Always been a fan of Miss Gaga, but I really love how she went back to her roots this time. Singing jazz music! She recorded a duet album with Tony Bennett called ‘Cheek to Cheek’. Of course, this is something really nice for the holidays, and so H&M featured Gaga and Bennett in their upcoming holiday campaign, the tv commercial features the song ‘It don’t mean a thing…’
This performance is just amazing, it really shows off her amazing vocal skills. Hopefully this will interest a whole new generation in jazz music and those amazing jazz standards!
