I couldn’t wait for this package to arrive last week, the L.A Splash liquid lipstick: ‘OG Ghoulish’. It’s part of the L.A Splash Lip Couture Liquid Lipstick line, which are liquid-to-matte lipsticks. As you can see it’s a very special colour, and probably not everyone’s cup of tea. I’ve been loving the matte lip trend, and was curious to try out this color and to find out if it’s comfortable and lasting.
Nothing to spectacular. It’s a regular lip gloss tube with a gold cap. The wand has a good applicator. It makes applying the lipstick quite easy, and I feel I don’t need a brush to smoothen out the edges.
is a cool taupe/grey color with full coverage and will probably look slightly different, depending on the skin tone. Not every one’s cup of tea, but I’m loving it!
It feels normal for a liquid-to-matte lipstick, which I didn’t expect. It doesn’t get too sticky or tacky, or uncomfortably dry. Some matte lipsticks really dry out the lips instantly, and that’s not a good look. I hate that feeling of dry lips. However, I did notice there is a bit of smell to it, but nothing extreme and it fades fast.
Like every liquid lipstick, you’ve gotta give it some time to dry. When I wore it out for a few hours and even drank and ate, it stayed on pretty good. It fades a bit, but didn’t go patchy. I’m impressed!
A great price if you ask me! Anastasia Beverly Hills or Kat Von D Liquid Lipsticks aren’t sold here in the Netherlands yet, and the shipping costs just a bit too expensive for me at the moment.
You can find the L.A Splash Liquid Lipsticks at Boozyshop.
