Even though it’s really warm outside, even though the sun is shining, I’m still gonna wear an outfit with a lot of black or dark colors every now and then. I don’t care that I’m slowly melting, if that’s the outfit in my head when I get dressed in the morning, that’ll be the outfit I’m wearing. What can I say, I just have my dark days.
This is an outfit I love to wear a lot, midi skirt, simple top and a long, flowy kimono. This time I paired it with a bright blue bag and my Nike Huarache sneakers. Curious?
Today it’s been 28 years since the release of Nike’s first release of the Nike Air Max sneaker. Adding a cushion of air was introduced by Nike in 1979 and the cushioning grew. The concept of visible air was introduced with the Nike Air Max 1 in 1987.
Today we’re celebrating 28 years of the Nike Air Max sneaker!
What better way to celebrate than shopping a brand new pair of Nike Air Max? Oooh if I was a rich girl….lalala. But I’m not, so I’m just sharing some of my favorite and some of my own Air Max sneakers!
Nikelab is Nike’s platform for creative exploration. It’s a place where Nike collaborated with some of the best designers in the world.
Their newest partnership is with Sacai founder Chitose Abe. Chitose Abe is a Japanese fashion designer. She has worked for “Comme les garcons” for 8 years before launching her brand, Sacai, in 1999.
She was inspired by the Nike archives and she used references from running, tennis and American football. Chitose Abe made a real stunning reinterpretation of Nike’s sportswear collections and gave it a modern twist. The result is a eight piece capsule collection, that blends iconic Nike sports looks with a touch of feminism
For instance, the classic Nike Windrunner is now reinterpreted as a skirt that features beautiful plissé-style pleating. A hooded sweatshirt is now upgraded with a peplum detail. It changes the way you look at sportswear, and kind of gives it the element of suprise, because nothing is what it seems, especially when you’re moving around.
These are sports looks that you’ll be wanting to wear when you’re working out or, in my case, just every day, all day. I love how movement really makes the pieces change and the fabrics and colors look amazing too.
The collection will be available March 19 online in Western Europe, North America, Japan and China at nike.com/nikelab and at Nikelab store locations in New York, London, Paris, Milan, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
Talk about Flower Power! Nike latest Air Max 1 collection called the ‘City Floral” features some serious floral prints. It was inspired by the fashion capitols of the world: New York City, Tokyo, Paris, London, Milan, and Shanghai. Nike has used some really beautiful prints and for each pair they’ve used their own typical city flower, for example New York has a roses printed and Paris has a lilly print.
The collection will be a women’s exclusive release that will release on International Women’s Day, March 8th.

A little while ago I showed you the new collection by Nike in collaboration with Liberty. I have a real soft spot for sneakers. The colors, materials, prints and models , they can’t be crazy and special enough for me. And this summer there’s really no way around it.
And let’s be honest, a really nice pair of sneakers still feels a lot better on your feet, than a pair of heels or sandals, right?
A little while ago, the wedge sneakers made their way in to fashion, these trendy sneakers with a hidden heel were on just about every womans feet. And so they made way for the the old comfy sneaker to be fashionable again. Not only underneath your gym outfit, but also paired with your favorite summer dress or pencil skirt. New Balance to Adidas, good old Converse, and of course Nike, they are all hot-hot-hot!
I’ve got my eye on a new model of Nike, the Huarache. How do you pronounce it, I would not know, but I’m totally in love with this model!
